About me

My name is Cesar Gonzalez Founder and Head Trainer at Planet K9. I am an Animal Science graduate from the University of Connecticut with over 15 years' experience working with domestic breeds in the Tri state area.  My mission starting Planet K9 was to rehabilitate dogs with past trauma but most importantly to educate my clients to better understand how to communicate with their fur babies. In training, I stress the structural importance of Pack order, addressing how our companions view us as members of their family in ranks.  The most important job we have is to maintain our position as Alpha in the eyes of our dog.  If our dog sees inconsistent behavior, he/she may not trust we are stable enough to lead which can cause certain dogs to develop a list of behavioral issues.  Does your dog display dominant behavior around others in your home?
